Patrick J. Devlin

 

Patrick J. Devlin was elected Secretary-Treasurer of the Greater Detroit Building Trades Council in January 1999.
The Council represents the interests of 14 craft unions and some 35,000 active and retired construction workers in Southeast Michigan.

Just before coming to the council, Patrick had been Business Manager of Sprinkler Fitters Local 704 since 1988. After he assumed his position at the Detroit Building Trades Council, Devlin resigned as President of the Michigan Pipe Trades Association and as chairman of the U.S.A. Sprinkler Fitters.

In existence since 1937, the Greater Detroit Building and Construction Trades Council administers project agreements with construction contractors, acts as a liaison with the business and political communities, and promotes unionized construction.

Devlin is married with two children and lives in Livonia.
